Alumni Weekend at UBC: Saturday May 24th, 2008
To bring alumni back to UBC, Alumni Affairs will be holding the UBC Alumni Weekend May 23-25, 2008. To showcase the importance of the UBC Film Production Alumni, the weekend will include a panel featuring former production students Cal Schumiatcher, Calum MacLeod, and Mark McGuckin. Join us for this fun, informative session where our guests will answer questions, provide insights, and give us a taste of “the biz” of running your own TV program.

UBC VIFF Event: October, 2008
The Vancouver International Film Festival is a prominent event every year for local filmmakers. The UBC Film Production Alumni Association hosted its first ever event at the festival in 2007, and will again promote, support and celebrate all the films made by UBC alumni, students and professors by hosting the annual UBC VIFF reception again in early October of 2008. A great opportunity to mix and mingle with the filmmakers!
